ROUTE
ROUTE DESCRIPTION
The start area is about 1km from Sealine Beach Resort as you enter the desert located next to the Mawater Sand dune.
From here cyclists / runners will cycle / run over the desert highway, across sandy patches and cross over sand dunes to reach the finish line at Doha Bus Al Majles Resort.
DISTANCES 2024: (routes are subject to change – weather impact)
MTB: 38 km
Running: 21 km
MTB + Run: 38 km bike + 6 km run
Nutrition and Hydration
The Al Adaid Desert challenge passes through extreme terrain with no natural water or shade. The sun reflects off the sand, strengthening its effects. Participants ultimately have the responsibility to carry water and nutrition with them. The race organizers provide water at official water points on the route on average every 3.5 km. THIS IS INTENDED FOR DRINKING ONLY. Excessive use is not permitted and may deprive your fellow athletes. Nutrition will be available at three points for cycling and two points for running (food icon).
Other points
Toilets will be available on the second dune of the race. Also several timing points on all routes (MTB, RUN, DUATHLON)
